John Sneden

Propulsion Director US Air Force Life Cycle Management Centre

John R. Sneden, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Program Executive Officer for Propulsion, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. He is responsible for leading propulsion system life cycle requirements to include development, acquisition, fielding, sustainment, and modernization to ensure warfighter readiness, innovation, safety, and effectiveness needs are met. The Propulsion Directorate consists of nearly 700 employees managing more than 22,000 engines installed on over 30 different weapon systems in support of the U.S. Air Force and 51 global partner nations.Mr. Sneden, an Oklahoma native, entered government service with the Air Force in 2000 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. He served in a wide range of positions across the department, leading acquisition and sustainment efforts for eight weapon systems and more than 30 propulsion system variants. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Chief of the Enterprise Execution Division, where he led oversight activities for the U.S. Air Force's $222 billion acquisition portfolio. Mr. Sneden was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in July 2020.
