Julian Wright is a serial innovator holding many patents across a diverse range of technologies, including mixed reality, novel aircraft systems, weapon and armour systems. With 19 years experience in the defence sector across land and air, Julian’s career has focused on developing and exploiting new technologies into defence. A chartered engineer and intrapreneur, Julian is responsible for many technology innovations including high altitude aircraft programmes, next generation cockpits and advanced avionic systems. Last year he was seconded to Army Futures to build a technology scouting and horizon scanning capability and is now, amongst other things, leading RBSL’s additive manufacturing strategy to deliver next generation manufacturing capability into RBSL’s current and future products.
