Rob graduated from Cardiff University in 2005 with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering and joined Leonardo as an Operations Graduate in their Machined Components Centre, Basildon. From 2009-2012 he was Project Manager for Leonardo’s Electronic Warfare products, primarily on Eurofighter Typhoon. He then moved to the Luton site in 2012 as Industrial Engineering Manager, gaining his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Rob became a Chartered Engineer in 2015 and took on the role of Head of Mechanical Engineering. In 2019 he was made a Fellow of the IMechE, before re-joining the Operations function as Head of Manufacturing Process Capability. In 2021, Rob joined the Customer Service & Support Solutions team as Head of Operations. During this time he helped to establish Leonardo Electronics UK’s “Future Factory” Digital Transformation Programme. He then returned to Engineering in 2022 as VP Mechanical Engineering. Rob lives in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands with his wife and two children and enjoys triathlon and spending time at his allotment.
