Addressing the need for the region's bountiful resources’ protection
and cross-border system implementation in Africa
Borders have become a major source of conflict in Africa over the years. Porous borders are common in the region, resulting in cross border crimes and instability. A high level of porosity makes countries easily penetrable by smugglers of drugs, weapons and contrabands. Security is a paramount aspect at the border. It requires protective measures to combat any activity that can endanger lives and property, or put the integrity of a country into question.
Join us at the 2nd edition of the Africa Border Management & Security Conference taking place at Hilton Sandton in Johannesburg from 20-21 November 2018. The EXPO is bringing together the region's armed forces, director generals of customs, border guards, critical infrastructure protection experts, port and airport authorities to discuss the different strategies to combat African border threats such as illegal immigration, human and drug trafficking, and poaching.
