Allain Vallee

Technical Secretary – Expert on UAS EUROCAE

Alain Vallée graduated in 1975 from the Ecole de l’Air in Salon de Provence. He spent 25 years in the French Air Force as a fighter pilot, then as a test pilot and finally as a programme officer, in charge of electronic warfare, avionics and light aircraft. From his post at Headquarter in 1993, he acted as the French Air Force representative at NAFAG and participated in some of the NAFAG sub-committees (ACG1, ACG5, BOA…). This role was maintained as a reserve officer until recently. He joined Sagem - now Safran Electronics & Defense - in 2000 as an expert engineer, working on future combat systems and coordinating European R&T defense projects. This included a contribution to the NIAG as Safran representative and participation in many NIAG Sub-Committees on different technical topics. He has been a member of the EUROCAE since 2008 and became Co-Chair of WG-105 on UAS from 2016 until his retirement at the end of 2018. Now employed part-time by EUROCAE as a technical expert supporting activities of different Working Groups (UAS, VTOL, C-UAS…).
