Brigadier Owen Bunkle

Brigadier Owen Bunkle was born in North Norfolk and educated at Fakenham College, King's College London, and Sandhurst. He commissioned into The Royal Logistic Corps in 1997. Regionally, he has served with 23 Pioneer Regiment RLC, 4 General Support Regiment RLC, Northern Ireland Combat Service Support Battalion, 3 Close Support Regiment RLC as their Regimental Second-in-Command and 2 Close Support Squadron and the defunct 4 Close Support Logistics Regiment RLC. At staff he has served at the Directorate Royal Logistic Corps, Army Headquarters, the Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC) Shrivenham. His most recent role was as Head of Defence Engagement Plans and Operations for Outside of NATO (OSN) within MOD Main Building. He has also deployed on Operation SHADER as the Combined Joint Force Land Component Commander’s Chief of Staff. In addition to his operational experience he is a graduate of both Intermediate Command & Staff Course (Land), Advanced Command & Staff Course (Joint) where he gained an MA from Kings College London. A graduate of PCBC, ICSC(L) ACSC and HCSC; he has served in Bosnia, Northern Ireland Iraq and completed three tours to Afghanistan.
