Lieutenant Colonel Niall Aye-Maung OBE

Regimental Medical Officer, Army Special Operations Brigade British Army

Lt Col Niall Aye Maung OBE is the Senior Medical Officer for 12th Armoured Brigade Combat Team. He has just finished serving as the inaugural Senior Medical Officer to the Army Special Operations Brigade, building the medical capability for the new Ranger Battalions and delivering the first NATO Special Operations Combat Medic course in the UK. He introduced MEDIX and digital medical planning to the Special Operations Brigade and 6th Division. He trained at Cambridge University and Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School before joining the Army and undertaking general practice. He has completed multiple operational deployments in his time as an RMO and SMO.
