Colonel Jeff Hazard received his commission into the United States Army Air Defense Artillery branch in December 2001. His previous operational assignments include: Avenger/Stinger Platoon Leader in the 25th Infantry Division where he deployed with 2-5 Infantry Battalion in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; Patriot Battery Commander in 5-7 Air Defense Artillery Battalion located in Kaiserslautern, Germany; Battalion Executive Officer for 5-5 Air Defense Artillery Battalion located in Joint Base Lewis-McChord; Deputy Brigade Commander for 108th Air Defense Brigade located at Fort Liberty; Battalion Commander for 2-44 Air Defense Artillery Regiment located at Fort Campell, where he deployed his Battalion to conduct the Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar mission in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel and Operation Inherent Resolve. COL Hazard’s previous non-operational assignments include: Professor of Military Science at Texas A&M Army ROTC Program; Joint Action Officer at the Air Land Sea Application Center; Air and Missile Defense Enterprise Integration Director at US Army Space and Missile Defense Command located at Redstone Arsenal. COL Hazard’s military education includes the Air Defense Artillery Officer Basic Course and Captain’s Career Course; Intermediate Level Education at the Command and General Staff College; Joint Combined Warfighting School; the US Army War College.
