Paul Daniels was commissioned as an Army artillery officer in 1988 after graduating from Stevens Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering. He served in numerous cannon and rocket artillery units, including operational deployments during the first Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He retired as a colonel and culminated his 24 year career as a founding member of US Africa Command, leading its Strategy and Policy Division and serving as a strategic advisor to the command’s three-star deputy commander. After retiring from the US Army, he joined Raytheon Missile Systems. Spending 10 years at Raytheon, Paul’s domestic and international experience—from new business capture to leading a portfolio of long range precision fires programs—places him in a unique position to help military customers and defense companies accomplish their common goal of putting superior capabilities in the hands of U.S. and allied military service members. Paul is currently the President of P. Daniels Consulting LLC, a venture focused on helping defense companies—small and large—grow their business and enter new markets. He holds a degree of Master in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and was a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow in Tokyo, Japan.
