Darrell McFarland

Director, Radar Evaluation Flight 84th Radar Evaluation Squadron, US Air Force

Mr. McFarland is the Director of the Radar Evaluation Flight, 84th Radar Evaluation Squadron (84 RADES), Hill AB, UT. He leads a talented group of radar subject matter experts consisting of technical advisors, maintenance technicians and technical managers. These military and civilian professionals are responsible for evaluating and optimizing Long Range Radar systems for use by the Departments of Defense, Transportation, Homeland Security, and North American Aerospace Defense Command for air traffic safety of flight as well as air sovereignty of United States and Canadian airspace. Mr. McFarland served on active duty in the Air Force from Feb 1988 to Mar 1999 as an Automatic Tracking Radar Specialist. His active-duty career culminated as a Radar Evaluation Technician in the 84 RADES. Prior to his current position, he has performed as a Technical Advisor, Technical Manger and Flight Chief for the Radar Evaluation flight.
