General Artem Luchnikov was born in Vol`sk-17 city, Saratov region of Russia, on November 30, 1975. He entered the Ground Forces Institute in Odesa city and was commissioned as lieutenant in 1997. Officer Career His specialty is combat employment of airborne units/divisions. In 1999 was commissioned 1st lieutenant rank as reconnaissance company commander in 25th airborne brigade. In 2000 became the chief of staff (1st deputy of commander) of airborne battalion in 25th airborne brigade and in this position in 2002 was commissioned captain rank. In 2005 commissioned major rank and entered National Defense Academy to increase professional skills. During 2005-2007 he studied in Academy and then was assigned for position of deputy of chief of staff of 25th airborne brigade. In 2009 commissioned lieutenant colonel rank and in 2012 became the deputy of commander of 25th airborne brigade. In 2014 he was commissioned colonel rank and in 2015 entered National Defense University to gain strategical level of military education. During 2016-2018 was on position in Main Operational Division in General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From March, 2018 was assigned as a Chief of Staff - First Deputy of Commander of the Marines Command of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During service units under his command accomplished in a number of interior trainings of Armed Forced in Ukraine. From 2014 year Artem Luchnikov (in colonel rank) as a chief of staff of 25th brigade took part in the Joint Forces Operation in Eastern Ukraine to protect territorial integrity and sovereignty. In 2018-2019 years as a chief of staff of Marines Command with LtGen Sodol` led the Operation-Tactical Units of JFO (corps-level). For his personal courage, professionalism and heroism was awarded with state awards, medals and orders. Married, has 4 children
