Christopher F Foss has been writing on armoured fighting vehicles, artillery and other weapon systems since 1970 and has written and edited over 100 books on this and allied subjects. These include Armoured Fighting Vehicles of the World, Jane’s World Armoured Fighting Vehicles, Jane’s Main Battle Tanks, Jane's Light Tanks and Armoured Cars, Jane's Armoured Personnel Carriers, Jane’s Tank Recognition Guide which is now in its 6th edition and Artillery of the World. Until mid-2017 he was editor of Jane’s Armoured Fighting Vehicles, AFV System upgrades and co-editor of Jane’s Artillery and Air Defence. He has also contributed articles on a wide range of land based weapon systems to numerous defence magazines all over the world and today also writes for Shepard Media with a monthly Newsletter. Christopher has lectured on armoured vehicles and other weapon systems in a number of countries and has now driven over 60 armoured vehicles, tracked and wheeled. He has chaired numerous IQPC events in UK and overseas and lives n Hampshire, Southern England and is married with three children and five grandchildren.
