Professional History
Doug retired from the U.S. Army in 2018 at the rank of Colonel after 27 years of service as an Air Defense Artillery (ADA) officer. He held multiple assignments in various leadership positions over his military career to include assignments in both Patriot and Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) weapon system units at Fort Bliss, TX, Fort Hood, TX, West Point, NY, Germany, Fort Sill, OK, and numerous deployments.
Doug’s military career culminated as the Air and Missile (AMD) Cross Functional Team (CFT) Capability Developer for Maneuver SHORAD (M-SHORAD), Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Capability Manager for the ADA Brigade SHORAD legacy and future systems, and the Army’s lead for Counter-Unmanned Aircraft systems (C-UAS).
As the Business Development Lead, Doug is utilizing his military background and SHORAD and C-UAS expertise to enhance Moog’s Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP) for current and future ground combat systems application.
Education
Doug earned a Bachelor’s of Science (System Engineering) from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point. He continued his studies at Long Island University earning a Master’s of Business Administration, and additionally he acquired a Masters of Operational Science from the U.S. Air Forces’ Air University.
