Dr Marcus Potter

Head of Mobility Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL)

Dr Marcus Potter is Head of Mobility at defence engineering company, Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL).

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Sheffield University and gained a PhD in Solid Polymer Fuel Cells from Loughborough University.

After an initial career in aerospace working on diverse projects such as F-35 Lightning and Airbus A-380, Marcus moved to RBSL as the Engineering Manager for the Bulldog Armoured Personnel Carrier.

In 2010, he became the Head of Mobility and is responsible for the design and integration of all powertrain and running gear modifications on RBSL’s vehicles.

Marcus manages a multi-disciplined team of engineers to deliver a range of mobility related tasks. More recently, Marcus has been responsible for delivering the MAN HX60 Hybrid Electric Drive vehicle to UTAC as part of the TD6 programme and leading the RBSL strategy on electrification of the battlefield.
