Vice President of Business Development for Integrated Vehicles GM Defense

Pete Johnson is the vice president of business development for integrated vehicles at GM Defense LLC. He is responsible for leading our Department of Defense and U.S. Government agency business pursuits and shaping customer strategies for these market opportunities in the integrated vehicles growth line.

Prior to joining GM Defense, Johnson culminated a distinguished 35 plus year career in the U.S. Army retiring at the rank of Major General. His flag officer assignments include Deputy / Acting Commanding General, U.S. Army Pacific, Commanding General U.S. Army Training Center and Fort Jackson, Director of Training, HQ, U.S. Army, and the Deputy Commanding General for Operations, 25th Infantry Division.

Johnson brings another authentic voice to GM Defense’s customer facing organization and his leadership will offer firsthand perspective as we shape future offerings for DoD and other agencies in the U.S. Government. He also brings a broad global perspective with specific expertise in the Indo-Pacific region.

Johnson holds a Master of Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Mathematics. He is an active member of the Association of the United States Army.
