Brigadier General Csaba Ugrik

Flight Director Hungarian Defence Forces

Graduated from Slovakian National Airforce College in 1991 as engineer and aviation pilot. After several tactical and type conversion trainings during his military carreer he conducted Security and Strategic Studies and completed the Senior Course of Nato Defence College Rome in 2014.

Former MiG-21, MiG-29 and active JAS 39 Gripen pilot with a total of 2000 flight hours. Prior to his current position Brig. Gen. Ugrik fullfilled high responsibility assignments inter alia chief of flight operations at Hungarian Defense Forces 59th Szentgyörgyi Dezső Airbase, commander of HDF 59th Szentgyörgyi Dezső Airbase for ten years, and detachment commander of HDF Baltic Air Policing Block 50 in 2019.

Awarded with many medals and decorations including Officer’s Service Badge 1st Class, Service Merit Medal Gold Grade, NATO Baltic Air Policing Mission Medal, Slovakian Merit Medal Bronze Grade.
