ACOS Targets Headquarters ARRC

Colonel Jonty Moore is currently serving as the ACOS Targets and Deputy Chief JFIB in HQ ARRC. Jonty read Arabic Language and Literature at Leeds University at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. He left Leeds after 5 brilliant years with an MA in the study of Female Arabic Literature, before entering the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in January 2004. After special to arm training at the Royal School of Artillery, he joined 26 Regt RA in Mansergh Barracks, Gutersloh, Germany in May 2005. As a subaltern in 26 Regt RA he served as a Command Post Officer, Battery Recce Officer and Fire Support Team Commander. Whilst with 26 Regt RA Jonty deployed on numerous overseas exercises and operations including a deployment to East Timor on Op ASTUTE with 4th Field Regiment Royal Australian Artillery, then on to Afghanistan on Op HERRICK 9 as a Fire Support Team Commander with B Company 1 Rifles. After 5 fantastic years in Germany Jonty was posted to 7 Para RHA, in 2010, where he completed P Coy and became Adjutant, deploying on Op HERRICK 13 with 16 Air Assault Brigade. On completion of the Intermediate Command and Staff Course (Land) and promotion to Major in 2012, he was employed as XO ARTD prior to assuming command of Chestnut Troop and subsequently O Headquarters Battery within 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery. Post sub-unit command, he was employed as the Chief of Staff 1st Artillery Brigade. In 2019 he was selected for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel and attended the Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC). Post ACSC, he moved to the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe as the Military Assistant to the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe. He assumed command of 26 Regt RA The West Midland Gunners in September 2022. From there he was assigned to HQ ARRC as ACOS Targets and Deputy Chief JFIB, on promotion.
