Lt Col John A. Cummings is the Autonomous Collaborative Platforms Division Chief at Headquarters, Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. He leads a team responsible for developing the requirements, fielding, and force integration plans for Collaborative Combat Aircraft as part of the Next Generation Air Dominance Family of Systems. Lt Col Cummings graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2001 and spent several years in the private aerospace industry before entering Officer Training School and earning his commission in 2004. He earned distinguished graduate honors in Joint Undergraduate Pilot Training, as well as the F-15C Formal Training Unit. Lt Col Cummings has flown the F-15C and F-22 operationally, and has deployed multiple times in support of INDOPACOM and CENTOM objectives. He has served in notable leadership positions, to include a tour as the Air Combat Command F-22 Demonstration Pilot, Chief of Standardization and Evaluation, and Operational Support Squadron Director of Operations.
