Nick Yates is a Senior Manager in CAE USA’s Next-Generation Business Development group and a Program Manager in the Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards program. Nick is responsible for growth strategies and business development for new opportunities and capture activities, specifically focusing on Next-Generation training development and integration. His portfolio includes Air, Land, Sea, Space and Cyber domains with product lines in associated training spaces including live and synthetic training, services, modeling, simulation and analysis and maintenance training solutions. Yates assumed this role in 2024 after a successful military career, retiring, at the rank of Colonel, out of Air Force Headquarters in the Pentagon where he managed and led the USAF Operational Training and Test Infrastructure. In his over 24 years of service as an Air Force Aviator, Yates accumulated over 2,400 flight hours, 1,100 in combat, in the B-1. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Weapons School, where he also instructed, commanded the 9th Bomb Squadron, and deployed five times to three locations in support of global operations. Yates has a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He holds a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy and a Master’s Degree in Administration Management Military Science.
