Troy is a military veteran with over 20 years of service in Australian Defence Force where he served in both the Royal Australian Air Force and Australian Army. Commencing his military career as a RADAR technician on F-111 aircraft, Troy went on to become an infantry officer and post his deployment to Afghanistan was assigned command of a light infantry company focused on airmobile and air assault tactics. Upon leaving the military, Troy has held aviation centric leadership and capability management roles, and as a human factors practitioner continues to advocate for solutions aimed at improving the human machine interface. With a focus on the ongoing readiness and preparedness of military aviators, Troy maintains a priority of improving the resilience and capacity of these warfighters to deliver battlespace effect.
