Programme Manager Automated Integrated Product Support (IPS) Programme Office NSPA

Mr Michael Schaefer is the Programme Manager for the Automated Integrated Product Support (IPS) Programme Office at the NATO Support and Procurement Agency. A retired German Air Force Officer, Mr Schaefer graduated in Computer Science and developed his career in the areas of Air Force Logistics and IT as specialist as well as in commanding roles. He joined NATO in 2000, first with the NATO Agency NETMA (for the aircrafts EF2000 & Tornado), where he was responsible for all in-house software applications for Logistics, Finance and HR. Mr Schaefer joined the NSPA in 2005 and held various roles to provide automated and integrated logistics services in support of the NH90 and TIGER helicopters as well as the A400M airlifter. In 2018 he was appointed as the Programme Manager of the NSPA A400 & NH90/TIGER Programme Office, which in 2023 became the Automated Integrated Product Support (IPS) Programme Office.
