Squadron Leader Daniel Elias Souza graduated from the Brazilian Air Force Academy in 2006. During his career, he specialised in electronic warfare and airlift tactics, qualifying in several courses, including: Air Tactics (2008), Officer Specialisation Course (2019), Electronic Warfare Specialisation Course (2012), Project and Process Management Course (2019), Tactical Data Link Course (2012), Phased Array Antennas Course (2012), Self Protection Systems Programming Course and Intelligence Course for Officers (2013). He is KC-390 Millennium and C-295 aircraft instructor pilot. In his professional experience, he achieved, among others, the qualification of AAR Instructor, Operations on Unprepared/Unpaved runway, Operation with NVG, Personnel and Material Airdrop. For all types of missions, he achieved the qualification of Airlift Package Leader and Mission Commander. Sqn Ldr Daniel Souza has scientific works published in the field of Airlift Capabilities, Self-Protection Systems, and Organisational Process for training crew members in transport missions. He participated in the Initial Operational Implementation Process of the KC-390 and C-105 aircraft in the Brazilian Air force. As SQN Operations Officer, the first KC-390 Squadron, he participated in several relevant missions, such as the repatriation of Brazilians from Ukraine war, support for the earthquake in Haiti, Salitre Exercise, Cooperación VII Exercise and The Amazon COVID-19 combat Operation.
