Lieutenant Colonel Gianluca Spina

Col Spina is an Instructor Pilot with more than 4000 flying hours, including 90 combat hours. He flew several helicopters (TH500, HH-3F, AW139) and airplanes (SF260, T-37, T38 and Falcon 900), He is also qualified as a production test pilot. He spent half of his operational career as a Combat SAR Pilot. He was deployed on 2005 in Iraq and on 2013 in Afghanistan. Col Spina was assigned to Air Staff 4Th Department on 2019 as a chief of Rotary Wing Section Military Education 1996-2001 Air Force Academy - Naples 2001-2002 ENJJPT – Sheppard AFB (USA) 2009 Air War College – Florence 2018 Defence War College – Rome
