Commander, 1st Army Aviation Brigade Polish Armed Forces

Brigadier General Sławomir MĄKOSA began his service in the 47th Training Helicopter Regiment upon graduation from the Polish Air Forces Academy in 1995. In 2004 he was assigned to the Air Force Headquarter, as a senior specialist. In 2010, after completing a training at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey (US), he was assigned to the 36th Special Air Transport Regiment as a Deputy Commander. A year later, he became the Commander of the 1st Airlift Base and held this function until 2014. After study at the Air War College, Maxwell AFB (US) Gen. MĄKOSA was assigned to the 1st Army Aviation Brigade, Inowrocław – Poland, as the Commander. As a Master Class helicopter pilot, he flew various helicopter types: W-3PL, SW-4, Mi-2 and has accumulated over 2000 flight hours, mostly as an instructor pilot.
