Colonel Krešimir Ražov was born in Zadar on the 16th of October, 1974. He joined the Air Force in 1993 and simultaneously studied at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Transportation Sciences where he graduated in 1998. Upon graduation, he received his wings, became helicopter pilot and got commissioned as 2nd Lt on May 28th 1998. On 5th August 2021, he was promoted to Colonel. During two semesters at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zadar in 1999 he successfully completed Pedagogical-Psychological and Didactic-Methodical education as well as Instructor Pilot training school.
As a military pilot he logged more than 3000 flight hours, most of it as an Instructor Pilot on helicopters Bell-206B Jet Ranger III and OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. He is qualified as a Flight Instructor, Maintenance Test Pilot and an Aerobatic-demo pilot on both types, as well as the official evaluator and examiner of the Ministry of Defence on both types.
His military command and control experience goes from Flight Commander, Squadron Commander, AFB Commander and Wing Commander.
He graduated from Croatian Air Command and Staff College in 2015 and Croatian War college in 2020.
For his performance was highly awarded and commended from different levels of CAF Headquarters as well as from the Chief of the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Croatia.
He is married and the father of a 16 year old daughter.
