Senior Principal Rotorcraft Systems Engineer DSTL - UK MoD

Liam Ball stands as a highly accomplished Rotorcraft Systems Engineer currently contributing his expertise to the UK Government’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl). Leading a cross-functional team across the MOD enterprise, he pioneers innovative solutions for both synthetic assessment and physical implementation of novel approaches which address challenges faced by MOD aircraft in con-tested, degraded, and operationally limited environments. With a robust career spanning over 20 years in aerospace engineering, Liam has served as a Military consultant at Dstl, engaging in diverse aviation and weapons projects. His experience extends to running an engineering school, managing an engi-neering training Programme for the RN, and providing engineering and logistical support for medium and utility lift aircraft globally, throughout a spectrum of environments.
