Maj. Gen. Lori L. Robinson assumed command of the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command on July 10, 2024.
As the commander, she leads more than 12,000 Soldiers and civilians in providing aviation, missile and test measurement and diagnostic equipment sustainment support to the joint warfighter to enable readiness.
Maj. Gen. Robinson is a native of Paterson, New Jersey and received her commission from the United States Military Academy in 1994. She has served in command and staff positions in the United States, the Republic of Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Her tours of duty with tactical units include 17th Aviation Brigade, 18th Aviation Brigade, 25th Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team / 2ID, 10th Mountain Division HQ (Baghdad, Iraq), and U.S. Army Alaska Aviation Task Force.
Her commands include 3rd Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii (Kandahar, Afghanistan) and 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, Fort Carson, Colorado (Bagram, Afghanistan).
She has enjoyed several broadening assignments to include Department of Military Instruction at West Point, Assistant Chief of Staff of NATO Resolute Support Mission, Afghanistan and Executive Officer to the Commander, Resolute Support and United States Forces Afghanistan.
Maj. Gen. Robinson served twice at the national level in the Pentagon. She fulfilled duties as the Deputy Director of Army Aviation, HQDA G-3/5/7 and the Deputy Director of Program Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E), HQDA G8.
At more senior levels, Maj. Gen. Robinson served as the Deputy Commanding General (Support) for both the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) and 2nd Infantry Division (Combined). Her most recent assignment was serving as the 80th Commandant of Cadets, United States Military Academy, West Point, NY.
Maj. Gen. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace) from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
